Taxes and airline charges are in the total before you choose, not added at the last step.
Airlines we compare — 12+ carriers from UK airports
The details that change the booking.
One search, many airlines
Fares come back from multiple providers in one pass, sorted by total rather than by headline. Where an airline sells the same seat cheaper direct, the comparison shows it.
The number includes the number
Base fare, taxes and airline charges are combined into the total on the result card. Hold bags, seat selection and priority boarding stay optional and are added only when you pick them.
Fare rules before you commit
Fares run from fully refundable to non-refundable, with change fees and fare differences in between. Which one you are buying is stated on the result, not buried in a confirmation email.
When the airline takes over
Close to departure the airline assumes operational control of your booking. Schedule changes, delays and cancellations are theirs to resolve, and contacting them directly is the fastest route. We pass on significant changes as soon as we receive them.
Why book flights with WeCompare?
Fares come back from more than one airline in one search, with taxes and airline charges in the total.
More than one airline
The result list is the fares returned for your route and dates, so you are not locked to a single carrier’s website.
The total includes the charges
Base fare, taxes and airline charges are combined on the card. Bags and seats stay optional until you add them.
Fare rules on the result
Refundable, changeable and non-refundable fares are distinguished before you pay.
Airlines on the search
The airlines shown on this page — including British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, Jet2, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, KLM, Lufthansa and others in that strip — are carriers the flight search can return. A route only lists an airline when that carrier has a fare for your dates.
Offers are the live price for your dates. A discount code on the search applies only when that code covers this product. There is no fixed deal list.
What you can compare
Live results, not a printed timetable. These are the facts on each fare.
| Airline | The carrier selling that fare. |
|---|---|
| Times | Departure and arrival for the flights in the itinerary. |
| Duration and stops | How long the journey is and whether it is direct. |
| Price | The total with taxes and airline charges included. |
| Bags and fare rules | What is included, and whether the fare can be changed or refunded. |
Why use WeCompare instead of an airline website?
You see more than one airline before you pick a fare.
You do not re-enter the same route on each carrier’s site.
The total on the card already includes taxes and airline charges.
Fare conditions are on the result, so a cheap non-refundable fare is labelled as such.

Four things worth checking.
Flight bookings carry more conditions than any other product on this site, and most complaints trace back to one of these four. They are worth thirty seconds each.
Names must match the passport
Airlines charge to correct a name, and some require a full rebooking. Check spelling against the document before you pay.
Passports, visas and transit rules
Entry requirements are yours to meet, including passport validity and any transit visa. Check your destination's rules before booking.
Baggage allowance by fare
Allowances vary by airline and by fare within the same airline. Excess baggage bought at the airport costs several times the online price.
Who processes the payment
Our travel partner may act as merchant of record for flights, so your card statement can show their name rather than WeCompare.
Search once, see the full fare, book and go.
Search once
UK origin, destination anywhere. Fares come back from multiple providers in one pass, sorted by total rather than by a headline that hides the extras.
See the full fare
Base fare, taxes and airline charges are combined on the card. Hold bags and seats stay optional. Fare rules — refundable or not — sit on the result.
Book and go
Names must match the passport. Confirmation lands by email. Close to departure, schedule changes are the airline's to resolve.
Questions people actually ask
Is the fare I see the fare I pay?
The total shown combines the base fare, taxes and airline charges. Optional extras — hold bags, seat selection, priority boarding — are priced separately and added only if you choose them.
Can I change or cancel a flight?
That depends on the fare rules, which vary from fully refundable to non-refundable and are shown before you book. Where a change is permitted the airline's fee plus any fare difference applies.
What happens if the airline changes my schedule?
Airlines control their own schedules. We pass on significant changes as soon as our travel partner receives them. Close to departure the airline takes operational control, so urgent problems are fastest resolved with them directly.
Do you check passports and visas?
No. Entry requirements for your destination are your responsibility, including passport validity, visas and transit rules. Check them before you book.
