§ 01Who we are
WeCompare is a trading name of We Compare Parking Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17291984, registered office 1a Electric Parade, Seven Kings Road, Ilford, England, IG3 8BY. This document covers hotel, flight, car hire and lounge bookings. Airport parking is covered separately.
§ 02Our role for hotels, flights, car hire and lounges
WeCompare acts as a booking and comparison channel. We display inventory supplied by travel partners and take your booking and payment. The hotel, airline, rental supplier or lounge operator delivers the service and is responsible for it.
Parking bookings follow the separate parking terms and the operator’s own conditions, not the rules in this document.
§ 03Separate products, separate contracts
Booking more than one product in a single basket creates a separate contract for each. Each carries its own reference, its own supplier, its own payment transaction and its own terms. Cancelling one does not cancel the others.
§ 04Hotel bookings
Hotel descriptions, photographs, facilities and availability come from our travel partners and the properties themselves. A hotel is confirmed only once a booking reference has been issued to you — appearing in search results is not a confirmation.
§ 05Hotel prices
The price shown is the amount payable to complete the booking. Some properties collect local taxes, city taxes, resort fees or their own parking charges directly on arrival. Where a property does this, it is disclosed on the rate before you book.
§ 06Hotel cancellation conditions
Hotel rates are either refundable up to a stated deadline, or non-refundable. Which one you are buying, and the deadline where there is one, is shown before you pay. Cancelling a non-refundable rate, or a refundable rate after its deadline, means losing the amount paid.
§ 07Hotel amendments
Changing a confirmed hotel booking may alter the price, may require the booking to be cancelled and rebooked, and may not be possible at all. Where an amendment is possible, the new price applies from the moment the change is made.
§ 08Hotel no-shows
If you do not arrive, and have not cancelled within the permitted period, the property may retain the full booking amount. Tell us or the property as early as you can if your plans change.
§ 09Responsibility for hotel services
Room allocation, cleanliness, facilities, staffing and everything else operational is the accommodation provider's responsibility. Complaints about the stay itself are resolved fastest by raising them with the property at the time.
§ 10Flight bookings
A flight is not confirmed because it appears in search results. It is confirmed once it has been ticketed or confirmed by the airline and a reference has been issued to you. Availability and price can move between search and ticketing.
§ 11Flight prices
The final price combines the base fare, taxes, airline charges and any optional services you select — hold baggage, seat selection, priority boarding and similar. Optional services are shown separately and added only when chosen.
§ 12Flight payments and merchant of record
For flight and hotel bookings our travel partner may act as merchant of record and process the payment. Where that happens, your card statement can show the partner's name rather than WeCompare. Your confirmation names the supplier so you can match the two.
§ 13Flight fare rules
Fares are refundable, partially refundable, non-refundable, changeable or a combination of these. The rules attached to your fare are shown before you book and govern what happens if you need to change or cancel.
§ 14Flight amendments
Where an amendment is permitted, the airline's change fee, any difference in fare, any difference in taxes and a servicing charge may all apply. Amendments are only possible while the airline allows them and are never guaranteed.
§ 15Flight cancellations and refunds
Whether a cancellation produces a refund depends on the fare rules for your ticket. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Airline processing times vary and are outside our control.
§ 16Airline schedule changes, delays and cancellations
Airlines control their schedules and their operational decisions. We pass on significant changes as soon as our travel partner receives them, and will help you understand your options, but we cannot direct an airline's response.
Where a delay or cancellation gives you rights under UK261 or equivalent regulations, those rights are exercised against the airline.
§ 17Flight servicing
Airline-related servicing — name corrections, date changes, refund requests — is handled by our travel partner on your behalf. Outcomes depend on the airline's decision and its own timescales.
§ 18Airport control period
In the hours before departure the airline assumes operational control of your booking. During that window, contacting the airline or its airport staff directly is faster than routing a request through us.
§ 19Baggage and seats
Baggage allowances vary by airline and by fare within the same airline. Excess baggage bought at the airport typically costs several times the online price. Seat selection, where offered, is an optional paid service.
§ 20Passenger and guest details
Enter names exactly as they appear on the travel document. Airlines charge to correct a name and some require a full rebooking at the current fare. Check every passenger's details before you pay.
§ 21Passports, visas and travel requirements
Meeting the entry requirements of your destination and of any country you transit is your responsibility. That includes passport validity, visas, onward-travel evidence and health requirements. Check them before booking.
§ 22Car hire
Car hire is supplied by independent rental companies through a rental network. The vehicle group, package, cover, fees and mileage policy shown on the quote are the supplier's, as are the conditions applied at the rental desk — driving licence, minimum age, deposit and card requirements.
The driver age and country of residence you give at search time determine eligibility and price. Changing either invalidates the quote and requires a fresh search.
§ 23Airport lounges
Lounge access is sold per person for a single visit and is subject to the lounge's own conditions, including maximum stay, dress code, age policy and capacity. Lounges verify names against boarding passes on entry, so passenger names must match your flight booking.
§ 24Third-party supplier conditions
The conditions of the hotel, airline, rental company or lounge operator apply to the service they provide, alongside this document. Where they are disclosed to you before booking, they form part of your contract with that supplier.
§ 25Information supplied by third parties
Descriptions, images, ratings, facilities and availability come from suppliers and travel partners. We take reasonable care in displaying what we receive, and we are not responsible for inaccuracies originating with a supplier.
§ 26Circumstances outside our reasonable control
We are not liable for the consequences of events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, airport or airspace closure, industrial action, civil unrest, public health measures and airline or supplier operational decisions.
§ 27Limitation of liability
We are responsible for our own breaches — errors in taking or transmitting your booking, or in the payment we process. We are not responsible for the independent performance of suppliers whose services you buy through the site.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law.
§ 28Combined travel services
Booking more than one travel service for the same trip may create a package or a linked travel arrangement under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Where that applies, you are told at the point of booking and given the statutory information that goes with it.
§ 29Booking confirmation
Check names, dates, destinations, times and terms as soon as your confirmation arrives, and tell us immediately if anything is wrong. Corrections made quickly are cheaper and more often possible than corrections made later.
§ 30Refunds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. The time to clear depends on the supplier, the payment processor and your card issuer, and is generally between five and twenty working days for airline refunds.
§ 31Customer support
Parking enquiries come to us on 0333 5678 678 or info@wecompareparking.com. Hotel, flight, car hire and lounge enquiries route through the support channel named on your confirmation, which reaches the travel partner holding the booking.
§ 32Complaints
We handle complaints about our own service. Complaints about a supplier's performance should go to that supplier promptly, and we will help you route them. Raising an issue while you are still at the hotel, airport or rental desk gives the best chance of resolving it.
§ 33Changes to these terms
We update these terms periodically. Existing bookings keep the terms that applied when they were made, together with the supplier conditions disclosed at that time.
§ 34Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
